The Canadian War Museum
The Canadian War Museum
On Family Day 2011, my family and I went to The Canadian War Museum.
We found it was a little pricey, but not to bad. You do have to pay for parking. Since your son was only 20 months old at the time he was free. Which is always a great price.
They have a free coat check. Which is always handy. Kids don't like to carry their coats and parents don't need to carry them either. So take advantage of this free service.
There is a nursing room, for those who would like to use it. I did not go in on this visit so I am not sure how it is set up.
We went into the gift shop. We got a few collectible stamps and pins for our son. Prices were reasonable.
They have a cafeteria. We did not take advantage of it. We opted out in order to go to Wendy's this time.
We found the there was a lot of reading. So make sure you are read to read out loud a lot, or even better have your child read to you what he/she is able to. This will make the learning more fun.
There wasn't any displays that children could really play or interact with.
You can make this a real educational trip, if you plan ahead.
I would say that although it is a good place for all ages. I would say that 5 years and up will get the most out of it.
